  • (5 STAR REVIEW) “As a Primary School Teacher I was looking for a book that I could share with my Key Stage 2 class that would stimulate light hearted discussion about climate change and how we can all look after our planet. This book ticks every box! An imaginative story told through clever rhyme and rhythm made this a really enjoyable read for the whole class. The book also has a website which has great follow up activities and resources . Highly recommend ! ”

  • (Lead reader in children's primary) "This book is magical. I even had some physical responses - hairs standing on end, laugh out loud. And the glossary and finding out more facts about what children have just read makes your book a truly 3D read. The poetry is a delight. Easy to read, accessible to all - even children who are not robust readers - simply beautiful. This makes your book so unique. There are picture books full of rhyme like Tidy (badger in a forest) - but to sustain such beautiful poetry all the way through a non-picture book is genius. I felt a sense of comfort from it. Looking forward to the next verse. The Transition between prose and poetry is effortlessI think adults would love reading this out loud too.I loved the connection with your website - love the mindfulness on there too. A fully interactive book - wow!

  • (5 STAR REVIEW) “This is a book for children - I would say upper primary age - who are wondering what they can do about all the climate challenges they hear about. It is a magical fantasy story about children taking on complacent world leaders, but has lots of suggestions to empower children to make even small changes and persuade adults to follow. Its roots are in reality (it has a glossary and links to resources), but wrapped up in humour (with some cheeky poetry, reminiscent of the oompa-loompas) and hope.”

  • (5 STAR REVIEW) “Skyler and the Naturenet is a must read for adults and children alike. It presents a clear and educational vision, raising an awareness of people’s devastating impact on the environment. The narrative poetry is fabulous at displaying the books key themes. It was extremely thought provoking and made me keen to share its important messages to others. A must buy - I can’t recommend enough ! .”

  • (5 STAR REVIEW) “COP26 has just come to an end - a lot of promising words - now actions need to follow. A very timely book to remind adults and children of actions required by all of us to tackle not only climate change but also think about the ways we currently live, interact with our natural environment and how we need to change our habits, behaviours and way of thinking to preserve our planet and environment for future generation. Proactive steps such as the reduction of the use of plastics is something all of us can do... and much much more.”

  • (5 STAR REVIEW) “A timely book written for the children of today. Climate change is a concern for all and this book approaches the matter in a way which will not frighten younger children. It gives us hope for the future . A read for slightly older children who will appreciate the rhythm and rhyme.”

  • (5 STAR REVIEW) “What a lovely book - so current - written with care and a love for youth and the environment. A perfect match - would recommend all children (and adults) read this book - our future would be in safe hands if we were all a bit more like Skyler (and not forgetting her Mum) ”
